Artist:  Marty Robbins

Title:  Devil Woman

Date:  1962

Label:  Columbia Records   CL 1918

Cover Photo:  Joe Rudis

Inset Photo:  Henry Parker

Notes:  Marty is in pretty good form here and his voice is as clear and sensitive as ever. The liner notes allude to Rudyard Kipling's poem "The Vampire" for its Devil Woman touchstone (…A rag a bone and a hank of hair…), but looking at the cover photo this Devil Woman is definitely more than that. I don't know if Marty actually drove the car on the cover, but it looks like it could run like a bat out of hell. Quite a pit crew you got there Marty…
