Notes: I love this band. Fantastic song structures, clean instrumentals and great story-telling abilities. Looking back to the Kinks and the Who the fellers grabbed what they liked and made it theirs. Their live performances are crackling with energy and power, but never at the sake of the lyric. The song as a whole is what's important, not just the individual parts. The band is still making music twenty some years later and involved in a range of side projects. Dennis is all over the spectrum writing, producing, performing in various ensembles (check out Jimmy Silva and the Goats, the Squirrels or Young Fresh Fellows if you aren't already familiar), Jimmy has his Buzzed Meg and children's songs/stories tour, Mike has played with the Little Kings (Dion) and Stickfigure (Jack MacDowell) and Pat has his solo work (featuring J.J. Burnell of the Stranglers on bass) as well as his political interests going on. Busy guys with a full fledged love of music.
