Artist:  Spooky Tooth

Title:  The Mirror

Date:  1974

Concept and Design By:  Ruby Mazur

Notes:  Those not familiar with Spooky Tooth may remember Gary Wright from his "Dream Weaver" days.  This album in particular presents the band in a fine light.  Side two still sounds relevant today.  An even blend of harmonies and instrumental work.  The front cover is cut out to show the inner sleeve.

Line Up:

Gary Wright: lead and backing vocals, piano, clavinet, organ and moog synthisizer
Mick Jones: guitars, percussion and backing vocals
Mike Patto: lead and backing vocals, electric piano, drums and percussion
Bryson Graham: drums and percussion
Val Burke: bass guitar, lead and backing vocals

Here's a few words from Ian:  You only mention Gary Wright in your notes. Mick Jones went on to form 'Foreigner', and Mike Patto was an artist in his own right, fronting the band 'Patto'. A former member of Spooky Tooth was Luther Grosvener, who changed his name to Ariel Bender when he joined Mott The Hoople.

Check out their earlier albums, especially Spooky Two (which was available in 5 different colours) and 'You Broke My Heart, So I Broke Your Jaw'
