Notes: This swinging Swedish quartet, which the liner notes credit for creating the "space sound", plays an interesting brand of instrumental surf and, well, space rock. I'm not sure when these cuts were recorded, but their first recordings were in 1960 and they were still playing in the Oldie Night line up in May of 1997. The guys used, for the time, huge guitar amps, an anti-feedback device and a 6 head echo machine. And on top of that they used self-emitting guitars so they were free to move about at will in their space suits. All this aside they do manage to pull off both the Orange Blossom Special and the Hank Wiliams tune Hey Hey Good Looking. I don't know how or when the surf sound got so firmly entrenched in the Swedish psyche, but I'm glad it did. A 10" French EP with a perfect group photo on the front and the boys in the street on the back. A very fun find.
Line Up: Bo Winberg: lead guitar
