Notes: Although my copy is pretty beat up I had to add this record. As much as any music I listened to in jr. high school this record helped shape my musical view of the world. They were raw, but in a controlled manner. They did tunes by Hoyt Axton and Willie Dixon and their originals were like nothing I had heard before. Drug references and psychedelic clothes along with the metal foil cover grabbed your attention and held it throughout. John Kay is still clinging to the Steppenwolf name to this day and touring about. I don't know what happened to the rest of the guys, but I hope the royalties find them somehow. The musical world would be a bit different if these guys never got together and I think a little less colorful. Thanks guys, if only for the "heavy metal thunder". Line Up: John Kay: Lead vocals, Guitars
