The Album Cover Art Gallery

Artist:  The Three Johns

Title:  The Death of Everything

Date:  1988

Label:  Caroline Records   CAROL 1363

Photos By:  John Ingledew

Notes:  One of the projects from the ever expanding palette of Jon Langford (Mekons, Pine Valley Cosmonauts) and friends. A bit more machine driven than some of his other works it still boils with the socio-political undercurrents we've come to expect from the collective. This musical hive produces works at an alarming rate and only a true fanatic could possibly keep up. The cover photo is disturbing for so many reasons, but I'll leave that up to your own inner demons. The back cover painting isn't credited, but an e-mail contact (thanks, John) tells me it's by John Hyatt. He's now the professor of fine art at Manchester Metropolitan University...

Here's a bit of info provided by Andrew Blackman:

"I own the picture on the back cover of the album; it's called "A Northern Landscape".
