Notes: A 2 LP set of some fine surf related music by a mix of artists familiar and unknown. There are a few standard Beach Boys tunes, one by Annette (which I'm assuming came from one teen movie or another), but dig a little deeper and you find Dick Dale, The Marketts and the Chantays. and then the next layer reveals some bands that are new to me such as The Frogmen and The Rumblers. The cover photography on both the front cover and the inner sleeve captures the essence of what good surf music should bring to the party, excitement, beauty and a feeling like no other.
